"Its a fact that many Egyptologists, mainstream historians and other scholars, who know a little about mysticism, will not accept that the ancient Egyptians had knowledge of the chakra system or the awakening of the internal Kundalini energy and will insist that there was no cultural relationship between the Egyptians and the Hindus. With this in mind, its therefore possible that those few scholars who are indeed aware that these connections exist, would also feel that they would have to suppress or ignore any reference to these connections, because of the embarrasment it would cause to their professions - i.e., that they had been wrong - their interpretations based on limited information, knowledge and experience."

"The functions of the body to survive, can be broken down to two basic functions for any organism to survive. You have to be able to grow, maintain yourself, take care of your biology, but you also must be able to protect yourself, so that, if you're just growing and you can't protect yourself you will become food for something else. Through the history of the human civilization, and through our human evolution, we recognized, that our nature is to be in a state of growth, and that our protection is only supposed to be used to, you know, help us out of that, that threatening moment.You can't be in growth and in protection at the same time. So the significance is, when we see a need of protection, the stress hormones in the body, shut off the blood vessels in our viscera ot gut, which is the part of the body for growth. Well the issue is, if you took the blood from the viscera, and moved it out to the arms, you left no blood in the viscera. That means, no growth. But you're ready to fight and when your fighting is finished, than the blood returns back to the viscera and you grow again. But in the world we live in today, it's 24/7 fear.

So we have a continuous dripping of that stress hormone into the body, it's just dripping, all the time, getting us ready to run, or fight, or flight at any moment, we're ready to go, because we're on guard. Well the problem is, what does that mean about you allocation of energy? And it says, we're spending most of our energy in protection.

A brief review of the causes for the demise of alchemy is presented, followed by a description of the alchemical process and goal. Although the 18th century spirit of enlightenment and the scientific discovery of chemistry could be applied to explain the death of alchemy, the real cause resided in its own obscurity, resulting from devotion to the allegories and speculations of Hermetic philosophy. Despite its inability to survive into the scientific ages, alchemy is seen to merit attention because of the psychic projections contained in the writings of the practitioners.
That the art was filled with psychic projections is evidenced by the fact that, although alchemy was a chemical process, the description and ingredients of this process varied from author to author.

There were, however, four stages posited by all the alchemists in the beginning, and these were characterized by the four colors: black, white, yellow, red. In the 15th century yellow was eliminated. The initial state, nigredo may be produced by the separation of ellements, then the union of opposites (comunctio) is performed, followed by the death of the product of this union (mortificato). From this the washing (baptisma) leads to the albedo or whiteness and the release of the soul at the death of the last stage and its reunion with the body. This was considered to be the first goal of the process: the silver or moon condition. Red was produced by intensyfying the fire, and the gold or sun was the result of the 11 chymical "wedding" of red and white, symbolic of the King and Queen.

Just as the processes varied, so did the conceptions and symbols of the goal. Certain characteristics were held by all, however: fire and water and the Hermetic vessel, for instance, were commonly associated with the prima materia and the storie. The characteristics of each of these symbols were often paradoxial and even antithetical to one another, yet all had a symbolic significance. In 1576, Joseph Quercetanus established a sequence of twelve operations. but since each of the twelve was open to multiple definition, the variations remained almost infinite. It is concluded that, although alchemy produced very little in terms of the knowledge of modern chemistry, it was a process filled with a sense of adventure due to the constant excitement of the quest and the hope of discovering the precious gold. "
